Loan Pay Xpress is being replaced by Message Pay
River Valley Credit Union members can start using Message Pay now for online loan payments.
Beginning April 20, 2026, Loan Pay Xpress will no longer be available. After that date, members should use Message Pay to make online loan payments.
What you need to know
Message Pay is River Valley’s new online loan payment option. It gives members a simpler way to make payments online and on mobile.
Here’s what stays the same:
- You can still make a payment using ACH or credit or debit card
- You can make your payment online at any time
- Your River Valley team is still here if you need help

- Some members may also receive payment reminders by text
How Message Pay works
To get started, click the Message Pay link and look up your account. Once your account is found, you will be asked to create a 4-digit PIN. You’ll use that PIN each time you log in as a quick way to verify your identity.
Message Pay can also show your current loan payment amount as a suggested payment. You can keep that amount or enter a different amount if needed.
If you save a payment method, future payments can be even faster.
Text reminders and payment options
Some members may receive text reminders when a payment is past due. These messages include a secure personalized link that can take you directly to your payment portal.
If you already have a payment method saved, you may also be able to complete a payment by text. In that case, the system will ask for your PIN and then send a confirmation once the payment is complete.
Members can also reply to get more payment options through the text message flow.
Recurring payments
Message Pay also offers the option to schedule recurring payments.
At this time, scheduled recurring payments are available for ACH payments. Members can create a payment schedule, update it later, skip a payment, pause it, or delete it if needed.
If you need to make a change to a scheduled payment, updates should be made the day before the payment is set to process.
Payment confirmation
After you make a payment, Message Pay will show a receipt with your payment details, including your payment amount, any applicable fee, and a confirmation number.
You can also view your Message Pay payment history inside the portal.
Please note that it may take up to 1 business day for a payment to be applied in some cases.
Fees
Payments made by ACH do not include a convenience fee.
Payments made by credit or debit card include a $10 fee.
